It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to close the tea room, during the COVID-19 outbreak. The tea room is a small space and we are adhering to the governments advice of social distancing to help prevent the spread of infection. We will review the situation once the weather warms up, as there will be more space to use the tea room garden.
For those who are in the village, or taking a walk at the weekends, we will provide takeaway sandwiches, soup, cake, hot and cold drinks from the front door of the Tea Room between 12 pm and 3 pm.
If you still want to treat yourselves to a cream tea or afternoon tea to have at home or to cheer someone up, please call us on 01273 858215 to discuss.
We would like to thank you for your support during this difficult time for everyone and look forward to seeing you soon.
The tea room will be open during the summer holidays everyday except Wednesday from 11am until 4pm except Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we will take last orders at 4.30pm. We look forward to seeing you!
We’ve had such an amazing summer and have so enjoyed meeting the many walkers, cyclists, holiday makers and visitors to Glynde that have stopped by to enjoy refreshments. We’ve welcomed visitors from Glyndebourne Opera House, Love Supreme and hosted celebrations for birthdays (the oldest being 96!), wedding anniversaries, baby showers, hen parties and wedding breakfasts and loved every minute of it. We would like to say a big thank you to you all. Sadly, we are now closed for the season until next March 2017.
Do not fear though, if you are passing by and in need of refreshment, throughout the winter the store will continue to serve tea, coffee, soft drinks & light refreshments that can be enjoyed in the warmth of the tea room or taken away.
Fancy a stroll around the private gardens and allotments in our lovely villages? Well, between 11am and 4pm this Saturday you’ll get the chance! We’ll be extending access to our private garden and they’ll be plenty of refreshments available along the way. Donations raised will go to support our local community swimming pool. Hope you can join us!
